Tunnelling complete for Delhi Metro Phase 4: Krishna Park Ext. to Keshopur

On the future Janakpuri West-RK Ashram Marg line under Phase IV, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) finished tunnelling work between Krishna Park Extension and Keshopur on Saturday.
It has been established as a continuation on the Magenta line, that connects Janakpuri West to Botanical Garden.
This route will run between the RK Ashram station on the Blue line and the Janakpuri West Metro station on the Magenta line.
The section between Janakpuri and RK Ashram will pass via:Paschim ViharHaiderpur Sadar BazarAzadpurBhalswaPushpanjali Enclave Mangolpuri.
Anuj Dayal, Principal Executive Director at DMRC said, "As part of the Phase 4 work approved so far, 28.76 km of underground lines will be constructed. The Janakpuri West-RK Ashram Marg corridor will have underground sections of 9.41 km in total."
The tunnel was built between 14 and 16 metres beneath the surface. In the tunnel, there are around 2,000 rings with an inner diameter of 6 m.
The tunnel's alignment passes underneath multi-story buildings and along the Outer Ring Road.
This specific section's civil construction is anticipated to be finished by the beginning of next year. At the same time, the entire Janakpuri West to RK Ashram Marg corridor will be completed by September 2025.
