Five students from India will join Oxford University in 2023 as Rhodes Scholars.
Out of the 5 scholars selected, three are from our own Delhi University.
She is a final-year student at Lady Shri Ram College for Women, University of Delhi. She is pursuing BA (Hons.) Economics.
Khalid is a final year English student at St Stephen’s College, University of Delhi. He aims to study India Muslims in South Asia.
He is the second Stephanian to be selected. He is a final year student of B.Sc. Hons. Physics.
Apart from the 3 DU students, 2 other have also been selected from India:
Daksh Walia a final year master’s student of Economics at Ashoka University.
She is an MBBS graduate from Government Medical College, Omandurar, Chennai.
Rhodes scholars are selected in a two stage process of competitive applications and interview. Around 100 students are selected every year for an all sponsored post graduate course at Oxford University.
